We’re Clune Crew Studio, a tight-knit team of four indie developers pouring our passion into our debut project: Shadows of Elsewhen: Forbidden Alchemy™. Built in the stunning Unreal Engine 5, this first-person puzzle adventure draws inspiration from classics like Myst and Zork—games we adore for their atmosphere and ingenuity. That said, Shadows of Elsewhen is our own unique creation, blending mind-bending puzzles with a chilling murder-mystery that’ll keep you guessing.
What’s the Game About?
Picture this: you’re wandering the eerie, long-abandoned temple of Elsewhen, where forbidden alchemy was rumored to be practiced, a place frozen in time after a disastrous ritual a century ago. As you explore its shadowy halls and solve intricate puzzles, you’ll team up with Arriel, the ghost of a young woman still haunting the grounds. Together, you’ll unravel the truth behind the tragic accident that took her life—and uncover the secrets buried in Elsewhen’s crumbling walls. It’s a haunting, immersive journey that’s equal parts mystery and discovery.
Meet the Crew
We’re a small but mighty team, each of us juggling multiple roles to bring this vision to life:
Ed, our Creative Director, an Activision alum, now crafts level design, puzzle design, and writing, shaping every twist and turn of the game.
Leo, our Lead Artist, sets the visual tone with world art and hero assets, making Elsewhen as beautiful as it is unsettling.
Will, our Programmer, builds the game’s core mechanics, weaves in sound design, and collaborates on puzzle design to keep your brain buzzing.
John, Our Character Artist, brings the Alchemists to life through technical art, animation, and actor performance recording, giving the spirits depth.
